Mrs. Woodward's AP Psych throws a surprise party to congratulate her for winning Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Woodward, the AP Psych teacher, was awarded 2012 Teacher of the Year for Tesoro. To celebrate, her fourth period class decided to throw her a surprise party. At the beginning of class everyone was walking down the 400 hall with a banner and food and surprised her. The class coordinated this whole event on Facebook and decided to bring in pizza, drinks, and brownies. All the students passed around a large card to sign and say congratulations. Senior Paul Kim said, “Our class heard that Mrs. Woodward won Teacher of the Year, so we decided to throw her a surprise party. It was worth it because it was just good to see her smile like that”. Commenting on the food, senior Meghan Mehta said “I really think that Mrs. Woodward deserved this because she is so humble. Our class really loves her and it was so sweet of people to bring in homemade brownies and cookies. Teryn Igawa’s wonton’s were so good!”.
